They had fresh options. The atmosphere is boisterous. Outside seating was not the best, we were swarmed by bugs, and had to move inside. Loved the oysters, peel & eat shrimp. I had the Sea Bass, was a bit overdone, but good. My friend had the salmon salad. She loved it.

Was recommended highly for good quality seafood at a reasonable price. So much more - baked garlic clams, oyster rockefeller and manager Walter - high class food and enthusiasm!!!! Must go to place in Ventura!

Brophy Brothers Ventura is one of our favorite restaurants in Ventura. The fish and chips are good and so is the clam chowder. Sometimes the chowder is not as hot as it should be. Brophys is an all around amazing place to dine! Its located right on the water in the harbor of Santa Barbara. Ask for a seat outside, especially during a nice day. Clam chowder is to die for and the service is great. Its a must if you are visiting Santa Barbara.

We went for after-dinner drinks, and the hostess was quick to have a couple of tables put together for our party of seven, even though we made it clear that we didn't plan on eating. Service was good but main course was actually too fast out of the kitchen. We had just gotten our appetizer when the entrees showed up. Chowder is above average. Nice atmosphere.
