Food is great but it is very slow. This is not the place to eat if you're in a hurry. Love the different choices and definitely great people watching!
I went here on a Saturday afternoon on the recommendation of my friend who lives in Little Rock. I was surprised at the menu selection. It was a nice change from a lot of the chain restaurant around. I got the tofu sandwich and really enjoyed it. The place is laid back and the staff was friendly, but it took... More
Weare from out of town... Always look for unique places with character. The Root does everything great! Great homemade soup! Yummy eggs bene! Field greens are delish! Everything was yummy :) Can't wait to go back :)
I visited here a couple weekends ago. They have really good breakfeast menu. It was a busy place packed with people but it was worth spending my money on good food. I will be back again soon.
Had not visited The Root for breakfast in quite a while so popped in on a week day morning for what has always been good food and service. Went to the Root Café after a seeing them on a local television story and loved it. I had the cheeseburger which was excellent. My wife had the Toasted Curry Chicken Salad and she loved it as well. Everything is fresh and top quality. You will probably stand in line a little bit to order and find a seat but... More
Ordered Big Kid Grilled Cheese, tasty cheddar on sourdough paninni style. Served nice and hot with a very warm green salad. Nice peppery dressing flavor, but warm. Self serve flatware , napkins and drinks. That would be nice to have been told when ordering. Staff not friendly nor helpful. Epitome of hippie chic.
We went to The Root Cafe (farm-to-table fare) today based on an article we read about it in a local magazine. The article recommended the cheeseburgers because they are made with local beef. We were NOT disappointed! The cheeseburgers were absolutely wonderful! The burgers come with a side salad of mixed greens that has a creamy, slightly tangy (think Caesar... More
The banh mi sandwich is unreal. This restaurant is a little touch of bohemian heaven with locally sourced organic food and creative chefs. If you're going for lunch, go early, the lines get kind of long. And do try the eggplant fries. Even if you don't like eggplant. I'm betting you'll be a convert.
