Good midtown Times Square meeting place for well-priced burgers and happy hour. Great prices and location.
This place was recommended by a local, but I didn't get the same feeling. Stopped in for lunch, the place was not busy(unusual for NYC). The burger was decent, but not something I would feel like I were missing if I returned to town.
Came here on a sweltering NY summer evening. Very loud and busy with a youngish crowd but staff were still friendly and attentive to the two of us (probably double the age of some of the clientele!) Ordering was efficient and burgers arrived promptly. Food was really good; fries were crisp and tasty and vegetarian burger didn't faze them at... More
Outside seating on a fine Sunday afternoon - we enjoyed a "Mother's Nacho Burger" (yes - it includes nachos and it works). Burgers are small but good. Accompanying fries were very good as well. Brunch specials were selected as well (French Toast / Bacon / Eggs) and did not disappoint. Service was polite and pleasant - prices are reasonable. This... More
After a long day sightseeing we stopped at Mother Burger for a beer. My ife had a bud light ($3!!) and I had a Margarita ($5 - all day long!!). And then I had another Margarita. This all happened around 7pm. The place was packed with many, many 30 year old something or others. But only being there for an... More
Staff showed not concern or hospitality. Tried to order take out as a regular and neighbor. Bartender made me wait on him then showed verbal contempt in front of other guests. It is a shame that Mother Burger is in not worth the affordable prices. Just because you offer a value does not mean you should take guests for granted.
This place is awesome. And tiny. There's most likely going to be a wait for a table. It's worth it. You can sit outside but no booze. I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was rockin. Hand cut, skin on fries - also yum. The only problem was that they don't have the frozen pink lemonade with absolute shot on... More
First night in New York and we wanted a burger, rather than go to a "standard" restaurant we tried here and weren't disappointed. It's small so expect to wait, but the staff are friendly and burgers were worth the wait - which actually want very long. Although they were busy we were not rushed. Good value and worth visiting if... More
Yes, you may find a few uber-trendies sitting about but look closely and you'll note that the local intelligentsia eats elsewhere: In short... please PASS on this one. Under cooked burgers with an over-eager staff. One star for try-zies (my sister was sick the next day). The drinks were nice but didn't make up for the queazy stomachs.
We sat outside after deciding the inside was a bit lack-luster with a foul/needs a good scrubbing odor. We should have taken the hint and left but we didn't. Unfortunately, I spent the next 48 hours with a case of food poisoning. Steer clear of the chili-cheese dog! My partner enjoyd his burger very much. Our waiter, Matty, was very... More
