A wonderful small space filled with tables spaced to give all guests a feeling of being the only tables there. The menu offered petite plates , entrees and dessert. Really nice atmosphere and pleasant wait staff. The mussels are great, everything is really fresh and inspired. I can only speak to what I got, and I get the impression that everything is good, but I also had a great lemonade.

Was looking for nice weekday brunch place with girlfriends. Food was less than good. Coffee was rather blasé. Service was okay, but towards the end of our visit it was clear they were fed up. I really enjoy Cafe Chloe, and if my better half liked French - would probably eat here more frequently. I especially love their lemon sorbet champagne cocktail on a hot summer day. I have never ordered a meal here that I disliked.

The food was delicious and we were a group of 6 seated at a round table in a separate area of the restaurant. Everything was great until it came time for the bill. The server insisted that she could not provide separate checks and it was a nightmare when trying to determine the cost of the meal, tip, and tax.

Adorable french cafe at what feels like the edge of the gaslamp district in San Diego.
