Great real Japanese food restaurant, with excellent sushi and sashimi dishes, particularly their very reasonably priced lunch specials which are (as the 4.8.13 date of our lunch) in the $10-$12 range (one deluxe sushi special for $14.50). Popular restaurant which is often crowded later in the week, particularly at night. We went for a later Monday lunch, and even then... More

My wife and I spent the night in boston because we had an early flight out of Logan Airport. We went for a walk lookinf for a restaurant and found Sakura-Bana and we decided to try it. I started with a california roll which was very well prepared I then had their lunch box with beef and sushi. The sushi... More

Okay okay, so one doesn’t usually think first about the bathroom as the quintessential indicator of restaurant quality. Nevertheless, if you read some of my other reviews, you’ll see that those restaurants with shady bathrooms are often accompanied by mediocre service, food, or both. In Sakurrabana’s case, I was trying to be generous. I was disappointed by the meal, but... More

Food is good although it was lacking the attention to detail that makes a sushi place great. Prices are very reasonable. My main complaint is they wanted to seat me at small table in the corner even though the restaurant was nearly empty (it was a Monday night). Just bc I am dining solo doesn't mean I want to sit... We went here based on Tripadvisor reviews. I must say my sashimi was very fresh and flavorful. My daughter had a Bento box and was very happy with it. What's not to like?

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! THIEVES!!! 1) When we asked for a stronger green tea because ours tasted like water, she said that is the tea and no one else has complained. She said we can order a pot of green tea for more money. 2) Miso soup came out AFTER my meal and only because I asked where it was. 3) We... More

Good service, excellent sushi and fun lunchtime scene. The lunchtime sashimi is always sweet and fresh. I also enjoy the seafood salad and their miso soup.

Since I moved to Boston in '97 I have eaten here more than any other single restaurant. Easily 100 times. I have never had a bad piece of sushi here. 'nuff said?

Great sushi place in the financial district. The uni is sublime. Love the Kobe beef sushi too. Consistently good, a must visit.

I gave this restaurant 4 out of 5 only because I have to concede that it's not haute-couture (if they have a Japanese way to say that). However, it's delicious sushi, classic rolls with a few specialty rolls and the prices are awesome. We went at 7 on a Saturday (last minute decision) and there were plenty of open seats,... More
