There was a group of 8 and we entered at 7 with no reservations, but we were seated at 7:30 and they put us at 2 table next to each other. It was hard to talk, is was very crowed and noisey but the roast beef samdwich I had with the home made tomatoe soup was perfect. The hamburgers were... More

You might have to wait a few minutes @ Tupelo Honey, but it's worth it! Good draft beer options for me and a Chardonnay for my wife. I put my carbs aside and had the fried chicken BLT (big sandwich!). My wife had the tomato soup...just OK on her end. Good, quick, service from the wait staff...need that approach given... More

Tupelo Honey Cafe is by far one of my favorite places in Asheville. I typically visit the area two to three times a year, and every single time I make this one of my stops. The food is fresh and wonderful, not to mention local. The grits are always wonderful, the biscuits are top notch, and everything I have tried... More

This restaurant is a must stop every visit we make to Asheville! We took our families here for breakfast the day before our wedding in October of last year and they still rave about it! The staff is super friendly and we can't say enough about the food! Fabulous biscuits, amazing grits, awesome fried chicken over biscuits and gravy (what!!!)!... More

Got there when it opened so we didn't have to wait. Food came quick and our server, Sean, was great. Everything we had (eggs, grits, biscuits, gravy, bacon) was outstanding! We highly recommend Tupelo Honey Cafe in downtown Asheville!

We went there for dinner on Mothers Day hoping for a special experience and it just wasn't quite there. Just seems to have lost its zing from a few years ago. Just to try something different, I had the "Grateful Dead" black bean burger, which the menu said was one of their most popular items. Jerry would be SO upset... More

The biscuits. Holy crap. HUGE. The food was great! They're opening up more locations, and I'm going to try to come back. It gets EXTREMELY busy, especially on weekends, so if you're wanting to go for lunch, I suggest getting your name on the list around 10:45 or so, or you'll be waiting for at least an hour for a... Stopped by at 5 p.m. and walked right in on a weekday. Servers seem to "tag team", but can't complain about the overall performance. As with other Ashville restaurants who endeavor to turn the tables quickly, it seems you easily get in and out in under an hour, even with an appetizer and/or dessert. Actually, I hate to drop above... More

Tried the sweet potato pancake, it was awesome. The biscuits and jam they serve with the coffee are unbelievable. The lines aren't too long if you get there at 9am when they open.

I love this restaurant. The menu offers a great variety which makes chosing difficult. A small salad and the fried green tomatoes (4) with goat cheese grits appetiser was more than I could eat. My friend raved about the scallops. Fun atmosphere. It was very crowded due to numerous large events (circus, symphony) so service wasn't ideal.
