From the moment we sat down and were treated to the lotus chips until we left, we were oohing and aahing. I loved my tea leaf salad. It was so unusual and tasty. I'd highly recommend this restaurant and would recommend reservations as it was quite busy.

We were originally planning to go to the renowned restaurant next door, but it was full. Now I don't even remember the name of it. But will never forget B Star. We ordered a lot of things here and everything we had was delicious. I think of it often. All of it.

I always wonder why people wait at Burma Star for hours when you can make reservations and usually get seated pretty promptly even without reservations at their sister restaurant B Star. We often go here just for the Brussels sprouts which are fried until crispy with rice puffs, light fish sauce and surprise ingredient shredded Parmesan cheese! Best Brussels sprout... More

Never had burmese food before this, but it was pretty good. The decor and ambience is casual and a great place to go eat with friends. They may be a victim of their own success as it took about an hour before we could be seated but they were very courteous and took our cell phone number so we can... More

I took my two local hosts to B Star Bar since I wanted to introduce them to somewhere new. Trip Advisor was spot on again! We ordered a total of 10 appetizers for three people and walked out very happy for about $100. I'd read some reviews online so tried the Brussel Sprouts in our first wave; wow! Great textures... The B Star Bar is ranked # 46 in the 3676 San Francisco Restaurants by Trip Advisor. It serves American, Asian, and Burmese cuisine. The restaurant looked small from the outside but inside there was ample room. The décor and ambience is pleasant. We ordered their famous Rainbow Salad, Grilled Calamari as appetizer, Basil Chili Tofu as our main entrée... More

This place rocks. A friend and I shared a lamb curry and several starters, ranging from traditional Burmese (tea leaf salad, samusas) to brilliant, genre-defying brussels sprouts with furikake, popped rice, fish sauce, and Parmesan. That and the tea leaf salad were really memorable. Cozy room, nice cold beers, easy parking by SF standards.

Don't confuse this with the other restaurant (down the street) of a similar name. This one is more fusion asian but still have some of the dishes from the same owner. And just as good (if you can't get in the other one which does not accept reservations. Try the Basil Chicken, lettuce cups, and Pepper steak. If you want... More

Came here twice during our stay in San Francisco. We came here on a Friday afternoon around 2pm and had no trouble getting a seat. My boyfriend ordered a rice dish with some pork loin and I ordered the lamb curry with rice; both lunch specials for people on the go. We also tried their lime iced tea and it... More

Tea Salad was very good. Black rice pudding was very good and different for a southern taste. The sole dish was very good. The brussel sprouts were delicious. Small, make reservation on open table.
