We were there for the Sunday brunch...we ordered the hummus and chapati ...but the "chapatis" were flour tortillas ...guys there is a huge difference and we can tell..but the hummus was quite tasty...won't say superlative though...just acceptably fresh. I ordered the thali with paneer...that was really well made...but the "raita" was in a little tiny bowl that couldn't accommodate even... More

My close friend who has been vegan for more than 20+ years took me to this restaurant and all i was expecting was just a healthy food as i thought vegan and deliciousness don't go together usually . Within few mins of being in the restaurant , i was proved wrong as the smell of food start talking to you... More

I get the lentil soup almost every time I go here. It is perfectly seasoned and the best anywhere (including home made). It comes with a good slice of bread and a small salad goes well with it. It is close to the Orpheum theater, and within walking distance of the symphony, ballet and civic Center. The atmosphere is peaceful... More

Descriptions of this restaurant gave me the fearful image of bowls of leaves served by entranced hippie-monks. Thankfully, my expectations were wrong. Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, or omnivore, you will find this place to be a pleasant dining experience. Walls that curve up to the sky-blue ceiling and a wall-mounted water feature give the room a relaxing atmosphere without being... More

The neatloaf was great. all vegetarian ingredients with a perfect "barbecue" sauce on top. I really enjoyed the Vegan chocolate cake later that night at the hotel. Only open until 8PM. Check to see if you need a reservation. Closed on Sun., holidays, even President's Day.

I have been waiting to find such place in this country for long time. It is a true oasis of fine organic subtle food in the desert of deep-fried heavy unhealthy eateries in abundance represented in this particular district of San Francisco. First, style: there is excellent tasteful atmosphere, especially if you just did yoga and looking for calming harmonious... More

Enjoyed the food here. The place was quite busy as it was lunch hour on a work day. But service was fairly quick. The veggie burger was good. But the desert was heaven!!! Lemon cake gelato.

We finally had a chance to try this restaurant ranked #98 of 3,674 San Francisco Restaurants. The restaurant was a 20 minute walk southwest of Union Square. We arrived at lunch time .The restaurant has a positive and peaceful ambience - tall ceilings and walls decorated by some hand paintings and pictures of Sri Chinmoy who inspired the founders of... We just happened upon Ananda Fuara on our way to see the Lion King. What a lucky find for us! The vegetarian, mostly vegan, menu was very creative, having a mix of Indian food as well as other standard vegetarian fare. It was really difficult to decide what to order because there were so many enticing things from which to... More
