we enjoyed several meals here and were fortunate to have beach-view tables each time. Almost all the seating is outside, but on a lanai, so covered. Friendly staff. Had to wait a little long for meals to arrive. we had great salads, burgers, and fish. We would eat there again. Happy hour prices are best!

The staff were very friendly and the food was really good! We had the mint ice cream pie was absolutely delicious!

It seems Brennecke's is rated high only because it has a convenient location across from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Aside from this, the food is sub-par with mediocre service & ambiance. We tried the $12.95 cheeseburger (which was really just a dry, grocery-store patty) and the $17.95 kalua pork tacos (2 tacos). Although my shrimp dinner was great I had buyers' remorse after I tried my wife's fish and chip meal. When we went a second time we both had the fish and chips and everyone left happy! Apparently the fish is fresh local ono and it is delicious.

Definitely book a table looking out at the body surfers. We had great service and great food. The fish and chips are sooooo good. We will definitely return next time we are in Kauai!

Good sandwiches and appetizers. Little expensive but reasonable during happy hour. Nice location across from Poipu beach. Upstairs and most of the tables front the ocean.

Our first afternoon in Poipu Beach we stopped by for appetizers / happy hour. Food was very good as were the drinks. Pricey even during happy hour, but you might try it at least once if in the area.
