Service was great, food excellent (the Hawaii Roy's locations always seem to get it right, sauces and seafood preparation and presentation). This location can get very busy, a lot of family groups it seemed, so you may want a reservation.

I never really understood Roy's , but I do now. Wow, food is amazing, the plates are beautifully done, the flavors are to perfection and the menu is great. The menu has a lot if options and I saw that most the plates were available in a smaller portion which was great both portion wise and price wise. I ordered...

Roys does not fail no matter which location is visited. From our drinks to appetizer, entrée and dessert we were beyond delight with all. The ambience is not the best, really loud. Get an early reservation for larger parties (4+) as service will be much better.
Only place on the islands to get butterfish which is prepared a Japanese way and marinated for 4 days then sauteed. Falls apart in your mouth and is buttery smooth. The short ribs are great for non fish eaters.
Roy's Waikoloa was wonderful. Four of us visited (I had been a fan of the original Waikiki restaurant) on Friday 26 April. Fortunately we did have a reservation - Roy's was packed whilst other restaurants were not!
We shared the great "canoe" starter - visually appealing and tasty.
Mains were all good- well prpared and well presented.
Deserts were shared...

Great service, great food! The fresh monjong was buttery and delicious There was nothing t dislike! Wonderful!
We always enjoy our visits to a Roy's, but Arnie & Lou make the Waikoloa location that much more special. Chef Jen prepared a fantastic pupu that was beyond marvelous, even had a little kick to it. The entree portions were great and allowed for us to take some home for lunch the next day. Of course no Roy's dinner...

Good, fast and cheap eats! Service was fantastic! And that awesome chick behind the bar made awesome drinks!
Well, we should have studied the menu MUCH harder before sitting down - almost got up and left because the selection was very eclectic and didn't have any "standard outs" like chicken :) Items have two prices separated with a slash (like 11/37) and on the specials page this means price "with and without wine pairing", but on other pages...
