The owner used to run Pete's Bar & Grill (now the Birch & Barley). He would have done better to stick with that. Somehow the decor isn't my style nor is the cuisine (which was not true of the late lamented Pete's). Clearly some care for the place.

I had the miso salmon which was fine — no complaints. My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich that she barely touched due to it being too blackened for her. My two young daughters got chicken strips from the kids menu which we told them were like chicken nuggets. But when their bullet-proof encrusted strips arrived they looked nothing like...

My previous experiences here were not good but a two for one coupon got me back. Wife and I tried the Pesto Veggie pizza and it was good. It used to be thin crust but this version was still very tasty. However, the Orzo pasta was pretty much flavorless. This reminded me of the previous visits. Was a bit concerned...

I have been to this resturant a few times and every time is just as bad. the food is nothing special, the service isnt very good. its overpriced to what they offer, and the lighting in there sucks. i have good vision but can hardly read the menu in the bad lighting.
I've been to Fireside a few times, and I always tell myself that I'll never go back. Their food has never exceeded average, and in fact, typically falls below. Because of the quality of food, the menu is overpriced. The service is also not impressive by any measure. The ambiance is okay.
The best choice is to skip Fireside altogether...

The service was quite poor. It took 45 minutes to get our appetizer and another 20 minutes to get our meals. Everyone in the reataurant experienced the same time delay. They were not even busy.
Often disapointed in the Fireside. Keep waiting for it to improve. Food is average to below average for the price. Service is hit and miss. On our last visit, we were one of 3 other tables and had been seated for maybe 2 minutes when our server asked us if we were ready to order. We said no. She returned...

Great building, but everything I ate was disappointing. The drinks were watered down, the burger was overdone, the bun was too dry, chicken was overcooked. Feels like a menu designed by first year culinary students. Service was friendly and enthusaistic but unprofessional and inefficient.
The food is good but not special. The staff is good when taking your order but can take a long time getting around to giving you service. The ambience is cold, One side of the restaurant is supposed to be a sports bar but fails, screen has poor placement for watching sports but adds too much noise for intimate dining....

There are of course better food and places to eat- but none of them are within a reasonable driving distance of the Moscow/Pullman area. If you are going to try to compare a drop in restaurant with a reservation required place you will be of course disappointed. That would be like getting into a hatchback and downgrading the experience because...
