Food is ok, way overrated from what others say. Its a small place with bad service! I was waiting for some help from someone for awhile and seemed like I was a bother to them! Maybe the bakery does well with revenue so they can just don't value good customer service?!

Is my go to everytime I am in Poulsbo. The shops may change over the years, but Sluys is a forever fixture and always yummy, neat and clean.

Poulsbo is Little Norway and Sluys' is THE bakery. We never pass through the area without stopping and loading up on goodies. They are absolutely fabulous - try a Viking Doughnut. My favorite is the lefse; it's a bit pricey but well worth it. The best I've had outside my grandma's homemade. The bread is great, too, especially the cinnamon... More

This place hasn't changed over time. Prices are a bit high but well worth the nostalgic trip to go back and visit. Staff could be a bit more friendly to the public but it was late in the day. We stop at least once when we go home for a visit.

We don't get to go to Sluy's often, but it's always been a good experience when we have gone. They have a large variety of items to choose from, so even with a group or large family there is always something for everyone.....and it's always good! The space is rather cramped and tight, but it's worth it to indulge in... More

What a treat! The displays are perfectly at home here or in a nice bakery in Stockholm, Helsinki, or Bergen! Delicious!

I was born and raised in Poulsbo and have many fond memories of Sluys through the years. Stop in and get a Viking Donut or smiley face cookies, or anything else on that matter since everything is properly made from scratch and will melt in your mouth. I now have my own kids and live on the east coast and... More

I just thought this local landmark was 'so-so'. I guess the prices were ok,,a little pricey. And the products were just ok. Nothing so special. But, I seem to be in the minority here!!!! Might need to try it again. Got some doughnuts and small pastries.

There were not enough days of our stay to try everything. Everything was wonderful.. My husband tried the cinnamon rolls and I had a pecan bun. The bread smelled delicious too. We came back for another pastry the next day - but there are many left to try.
