The food was authentic and the waitress was very attentive. They have live music on the weekends. I had the Jeagersnitzel and my husband had the Chicken Cordon Bleu and both were excellent choices.

I was in the mood for Weiner Snitchzel(the dish not the hotdog stand), German Patatoe Salad and a good dark German beer. King Ludwig was able to help me with all three.
We sat in the Bier Garten of course and were serenaded by an traditional German folk band. What did Tuco say to Angel Eyes? Good music helps the...

Late night Sunday in Leavenworth was slow so we had dedicated service. Had a lovely German meal. Treated ourselves to some wonderful deserts.
No trip to Leavenworth is complete without a German meal and King Ludwig's is excellent. We ordered a huge platter with a bit of everything and I was impressed. For many years I lived a stone's throw from the Black Forest and walking in here felt like home. I'm not a fan of noise so we sat in the small...

The thing that attracted us was the roisterer. We were greeted by great staff who wore authentic Irish clothing. There was live music, kids and couples dancing on the dance floor. Overall a great time! The food and beer was awesome. We will definitely be going back :) !
We had lunch here, but ordered from the dinner menu. This is a true German experience, and we'll go back. All the food was excellent. The white sauerkraut and the rye bread were both the best we've ever eaten. We'll certainly go back again, but wait for dinner, when the Polka band plays.
We had a good lunch of chicken schnitzel (sp?) and saurbrauten. Lots of variety on the menu. Atmosphere was interesting, but then it fit in with the Leavenworth Bavarian theme. Staff was friendly, professional and attentive, although we didn't dine at a busy time for the restaurant.
This place is classic for german food in Leavenworth. Food is consistent and good. We had a group of 6 and ordered the platter for 6. Platter was huge, everyone was satisfied and we had a box of leftovers. I would recommend the platters for the best value. There is an accordian player most nights.
We enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. The beer was good, the food was quite nice, not fantastic, but solid. We all had schnitzel, pork, chicken and veal. Flavor was nice, portions were a good size. We got seated promptly, had a waitress with us shortly thereafter. Getting her back to take our order was where the trouble started for...
