Always very good comfort food and quite good smoked meats of many varieties. Service is good and the "home place" decor is nice...it fits the food.
The food is always mediocre, including the sauces. We've tried this particular restaurant a couple of times and it never seems to be a good value. It's pretty pricey for some less than impressive BBQ.
Place is a former fast food restaurant and despite the pretty cool old school rockin-blues decor, and the decent service, the food just somehow is only one step above generic.
The food was great, but the restaurant itself seems a little down in its heels. I had never eaten at the restaurant before, but had enjoyed their catered meals many times before. The food did not disappoint.
The food is great. I had melt-in-your-mouth beef brisket and savory sausage. I broke down and ordered a plate of hush puppies which I love. Service was thorough and friendly. However, this restaurant doesn't have much beyond salads for the calorie conscious.

Ok, this will be my first review from the restaurant mealtime being reviewed. We have enjoyed various RHB stores over the last 20 years. A bit disappointed to hear that last week they dropped the corn chowder, but... More
If you're not already familiar with Red Hot & Blue, you should definitely try it. It is a locally based chain (MD, VA, etc) but they do a really exceptional job. The BBQ is wonderful - I particularly love the pulled pork and pulled chicken. The ribs are great too. Lots of good sides including very delicious potato salad. The... More
Love the small pitchers of ice tea - wait staff keeps them full and is attentive. It's just kinda pricy in my opinion for the area. Two racks of ribs and an appetizer for about $60, parking is easy and it's right off Business RT 29.
