This spot on East main Street in orange has a great menu and many nights they get entertainment from either Charlottesville or Richmond. A place to stop.
The Light Well offered what they called homemade pasta (and it may well have been) but it was not warm when it arrived at our table. It was mid-week and not a busy evening but our waitress was rather indifferent to serving us; she seemed more interested in busing tables. Two pasta dishes, two sodas and some bread cost us... More
It's an inviting, cozy space, but the Croque Monsieur special I ordered for brunch was luke warm. It looked like a tried and true locals spot, so I'd give it another try but stick to items on the standard menu.
Pub ambiance during the lunch hour. Nice selection of beers. We tried the locally raised, grass-fed beef with Arugula, Tomato, and Herbed Mayo on a Challah bun. Great hamburger!
We ate breakfast at the Light Well. The quiche was light and airy and the breakfast burrito was incredible. The coffee was superb and the music playing in the background was relaxing. Very enjoyable first impression!!!
We had a light dinner here and sampled some interesting local beers and local wines. The food was plentiful and simple without being plain. The staff were delightful and our bubbly waitress was as sweet as pie. A nice relaxed atmosphere, so nice that I went back the day day for coffee.

My hubby says she wasn't lying. The Cuban sandwich is sliced roasted pork loin, caramelized red onion, smoked Gouda cheese, and plum chutney aioli... More

We picked this restaurant because of its varied and appealing menu, but were amazed at the wonderfully high quality of the food at an extremely reasonable price. Vegetarians and meat-eaters all went away happy, and this restaurant visit was one of the... More
