Found completely by accident after disappointing experience at well recommended restaurant 3 km away. Well hidden apart from small sign at side of road. English host of 10 years standing was quietly welcoming and very attentive despite looking after a party of sports car enthusiasts. A gem just sums it up.

Having been to Bar La Montana several times with friends, the food and the welcome are both equally inviting. Wonderful atmosphere, great wine, delicious food and superb hosts. what's not to like? Well worth the drive and in the day time the views are just magnificent. Long may it continue....

Excellent food, service, welcome. A warm fire glowing in the dining room. Managed and food cooked by the owners, who really make you most welcome. The prawn, and pâté starters are first class, and the lamb dish is excellent. 3rd visit and we will be regular clients.

Fabulous restaurant in the mountains, cold winter's evening with big open fire. Food fabulous, special's of the day divine. Friendly, warm and excellent value for money. We shall be back.

Hidden away in the mountains, Bar La Montana is a find - excellent food at reasonable prices, with unfailingly friendly service from Matt & Carol. We never miss a visit whenever we are in the area
