Took our daughter there for her B-day. Had the frog leg appetizer, 4 lightly battered and fried legs with sauteed baby carrots and mac and cheese. WOW. I love fried frog legs and these were great, even wife and daughter liked them. We had the scallops, tautog , and salmon. Anyone who reads my reviews knows I believe seafood should... More

Guided by reviews in Hampton Roads Magazine, after a doctors visit in City Center, we visited Fin for lunch. It was a beautiful day so we decided to eat in the sidewalk dining area. Service was fast and efficient and the meals were super, seared scallops and seafood burrito. The Caesar salad dressing was the best we've eaten and the... More

My husband and I ordered the lunch special menu. What a delightful, delicious treat! The portions were perfect for lunch. Flavors were excellent. Would definitely visit again if in the area!

I have eaten at Fin multiple times in the past 5 years and for the most part have found the food preparation uneven but the service excellent. I recently went there with a group of eight people for a business dinner. We all ordered a variety of dishes and to a person agreed that everything was excellent. Most notable were... More

I have been to Fin many, many times but failed to write a review. This is not a typical restaurant or bar for Newport News, very trendy and a unique menu. Make sure that you allocate some time if you plan for lunch or dinner, service here is not fast food nor should it be. The wine list is diverse,... More

I have to say, Fin is a diamond in the rough! A lil off the beaten path, it is tucked back in the Port Warwick area of NN. My girlfriend and I had a great time. We were warmly welcomed and seated promptly. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and helped me pick a nice bottle of wine. The food was... More

First things first. Fin is lovely, beautifully maintained, and in a great location. A group I am in met there for lunch at Christmas. First problem: the woman who had made reservations for us ordered two trays of appetizers, for which she prepaid. They forgot to serve them. When we asked for them, they denied she had ordered them. She... More

My BF and I have made a couple visits to this restaurant and both times were VERY pleased. The restaurant is VERY clean with a very warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is splendid with a marvelous presentation. A great place for a romantic dinner.

I have had lunch several times at Fin and wanted to try the bar for appetizers and drinks. The atmosphere is nice in the bar. There are not too many grown-up places to go in Newport News, so we had been wanting to check this out as a possible "date night" place. There are not too many beers on tap... More

Tired of cooking so we went there for lunch. Had the 3 course lunch's for $15. Had the seafood tacos with Caesar salads, and the shepherds pie and she crab soup, and a seafood burrito. All were great. Soup was rich with a nice amount of crab, could have been a little hotter. Seafood tacos were great, nice size piece... More
