Perfect place for biz meeting or couples night out. Quiet, serene and wonderful selection of teas and food. Healthy food is another plus.
This is a wonderful place, open on rainy Sunday morning. The atmosphere was great, a little bit bohemian, a little bit Indian or Middle Eastern and just a touch of European, honestly something one would expect in a bigger neighborhood in a bigger city. It was a delightful surprise. The breakfast selection is very good, the coffee in decent, but... More
This quaint little place in downtown Harrisonburg provided a delightful little respite from a hot day. It is unobtrusive on the exterior but offers quite a pleasant atmosphere inside. It was decorated much like a Middle Eastern tea room with a covered love seat and Turkish rugs on the wall. The menu included light fare for lunch or dinner but... More
We had a great humus plate that was an appetizer but more a meal. Great location. Great place to chat with friends, to have tea or coffee.
Just had our second breakfast there while visiting JMU. When you first walk in to the restaurant, you feel as if you have been transported back to the seventies-- the wall tapestries, the scent of fresh brewed teas, the hippy-ish atmosphere. The Staff is very nice, however don't be in a rush, as there has only ever been one Server... More
Driving south on 81 and stopped in Harrisonburg for lunch. Lots of choices -- earth &tea was a good choice! I had a very tasty lentil soup and Mediterranean salad. The soup was especially good and the salad was artfully arranged and fine for what it was. The surroundings were nice with Persian wall hangings. Service was good but not... More
I've been here 4 times now. I have had the Masala Chai each time and love it!! I had the tea time platter and thought it was excellent! More than enough for 3 people. I had the raspberry cake and thought it was heavenly! The next time I thought I'd try a different cake. I had the chocolate and cheese... More
I just went to Earth and Tea Cafe for the first time, and it certainly won't be my last. I had the lunch combo with Brazilian Chicken Coconut Soup and the Coconut Curry Chicken Wrap. Both were fabulous. The decor is wonderful, too - nice and relaxing. Definitely going to be on my list of restaurants to visit for lunch!
While the food is so yummy & wholesome and the ambiance of the main room comfortable we will not plan on returning as the bathrooms are abysmal. There is no hot water to properly wash your hands with and the sink is one large rust stain. Total turn-off which is unfortunate for an otherwise great restaurant. Let us know when... More
When you step off Main Street into this little Cafe you enter a retreat from your busy day. The food is wonderful with an amazing array of teas to choose. Sit and chat with a friend and relax with attentive service and the chance to purchase an interesting tea to take home with you.
