Description: Located in an elegantly restored Victorian mansion, Joshua Wilton House is within walking distance of historic downtown Harrisonburg and the campus of James Madison University, offering guests quiet charm and gracious living in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. The Restaurant offers a unique and exquisite a la carte menu that changes with the seasons, along with an extensive selection of beers and an award-winning wine list. Featured are the food products of many small local farms and producers who supply our kitchen with high quality ingredients that simply cannot be found elsewhere. Executive Chef Mark Newsome's philosophy of cooking is to present these wonderful products in a fashion that allows their natural goodness to shine through. During the warmer months, seating is available on the outdoor brick patio. Arrive early and enjoy a cocktail in our lounge before dinner.

Really enjoyed our little celebration with friends. All 5 of our appetizers and entrees were very well prepared and absolutely delicious. I loved my oysters and scallops. Our waiter was very attentive, but quirky. When I mentioned; 'we all like a lot of cream in our coffee, may we have another creamer?", he responded "There's one in front of you."... More

Spent a weekend in Harrisonburg. This restaurant was highly recommended. I made reservations well in advance. .imagine my dismay when we checked in & the hostess who I later found out was an owner said "oh, we gave away your table because you did not return our call." Funny, there was no call to confirm. Worse she continued to argue... More

Worth the visit. Excellent ingredients and imaginative preparation. Extensive wine list. Top drawer service with Donald (ask about the bow tie). The monk fish special and the pork loin from regular menu were delicious. House willingly split the beet salad. We visit for dinner every time we are in the area. I suggest you do so also

This restaurant is within a restored Victorian home which serves as both a restaurant and an inn. There are several small, intimate dining rooms as well as an outside eating area. The food is excellent as is the service. It is a perfect place for a special occasion.

My coworkers and I were down here on business, and looked forward to a nice dinner after working all day. We were not disappointed. White tablecloths, starched white dinner napkins, intimate dining rooms. I had the duck breast, which was perfectly cooked. I also had a starter of beet salad, again, fabulous. This restaurant would also be excellent for couples... More

This quaint, very comfortable five room inn in Harrisonburg features a stellar restaurant and great service. The rooms have very high quality linens and pillows and unlike many other B&B's, have hair dryers, irons/ironing boards, television, gratis wireless internet and thick, fluffy towels. Each room has its own thermostat, which was a godsend in December. Right on Main Street in... More

The food was excellent, as was the service. The restaurant is beautiful, and the servers & hostess were wonderful. Best meal I've had in years.

Joshua Wilton is the considered the upper tier of dining in Harrisonburg. The dishes boast local ingredients, the food is artistic, and the barkeep is very talented, too. Worth the extra money for a special night.

I spent many an evening engaged in heavy drinking at the old TKE House ( former fraternity ) in the 70's. Quite ironic that this old animal house is now a proper establishment. Real fine food and service.....and a lot of flashbacks!
