We stopped in on the recommendation of the Green Mountain Inn and we had a wonderful burger. The BBC - bacon, burbon, cheese, was heavenly. The burgers are made the way that a burger is suppose to be made. Flame broiled with a little bit of char on the ends, pink in the middle and not too many condiments so... More

Nice to have staright forward, diner-type food, in a fun atmosphere, at reasonable prices, especially in relation to most of the expensive Stowe restaurants.

Our kids love to ride into town to go to lunch at the Malt Shop. It's a fun little place great for sandwiches and of course, ice cream!

Very friendly atmosphere with great decor. Malts, shakes and brownie were delicious. Fun staff, very welcoming.

What a great place.....felt like I was on the set of Grease! Best milk shakes try the chocolate or the maple and walnut. Try the wings with bourbon sauce. Stupendous. And the club sandwiches. Try this place if you are in Stowe Vermont. Great food, friendly and excellent value.

Great atmosphere.......definitely era based decor! Makes you think you're in the '50's when you walk in! All we had was a "skinny" milk shake, but that was yummy! Took a peak at the menu and everything seemed very reasonable.

Great comfort food and frappes. We returned a second time it was that good. Great menu selection. Reasonable prices. Much better than 'fast food.'

We just ate at a unique restaurant reminiscent of a 1950s dinner. We were in a time crunch and told our hostess about it. She quickly led us to the ice cream bar and let us sit there and place our lunch order. Our drinks were brought within minutes followed by one of the juiciest and tastiest burgers that I... More

The food was good, but not great. The service was good, but again not great. The location is great, but that's about it. It wasn't bad in any way, but it didn't wow me in any way either. I had the chili and my wife had the beef barley soup. We ordered a cheese fries as well, a little large,... More

We've been going to the Depot Malt Shop for years mainly to experience our step back in time and a warm welcome from the owner. We are never disappointed, from the 50's decor which hasn't changed in years, to the jukebox, the vintage photos & of course, the malted milks & root beer floats! We can't wait for our next... More
