We're originally from Texas and were visiting the area. Glad we found Cal-Bob's! Very friendly owners and the brisket, sausage, salmon, and the soup are great! We ate here and got take-out several times during our week in Kerrville. Even took some brisket to my Dad in San Antonio. The pear crisp dessert was wonderful too.

Being from Texas and BBQ enthusiasts, we would rate the brisket (the only meat that we ate) as average, but the smoked red pepper soup, potato salad and cilantro coleslaw were fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will return on our next trip to Kerrville.

Well I had to try this place after all these great reviews. I was not disappointed. The red pepper smoked soup was out of this world. Also the prime rib was tender, juicy and full of smoked flavor. My wife and I were in Kerrville house hunting. We are hoping to make Kerrville our future home. Our realtor recommend Cal-Bob to us and it was fantastic. We plan to be regulars once we relocate. Get there early because they close at 7pm.
