For an early evening meal with some business colleagues, we were among the first arrivals at the restaurant. However, everything was well set up and arranged the staff gave us a warm welcome and service was always attentive without being overbearing. I had the steak which was very good and all my colleagues who had a variety of starters and... More

We came to this place a few days ago and we're eager to revert there soon ! Atmosphere, service and food of course are excellent. This place gives the possibilty to taste the diversity of French food with a good value for money. A special mention to Chief Lionel Debon whose the recipes are gorgious. The place to eat French... Good setting, quiet, excellent wine list and good variety of starters and mains. Found it great for a business dinner recommended by a friend from Australia of all places!

Unless I had been recommended La Mistral I would have driven straight past it. Although freestanding it is situated in a non descript strip mall in the energy corridor. However, once inside it is has an understated and tasteful decor. The staff are very attentive and helpful in their menu recommendations. To add to the authenticity we had a French... More

Nice comfortable restaurant with friendly service. Meal hit and miss. Maybe chef was preparing next days Easter menu. Salads were delicious, wild mushroom soup a bland puree, foies gras beautifully cooked and delicious.....except for the large vein, which made the small serving an overall big disappointment, grouper delicious, duck leg confit delicious, duck breast tough and fat no rendered, beef... Arrived for dinner & disappointed at the location..it is on a strip mall. Had to valet park the car as all spaces reserved for the restaurant...when we came out the car was literally a few metres away but hey, I suppose it is keeping someone in a job. The restaurant was not as exclusive as I expected it to be... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us. We can't begin to express our disappointment regarding your Grand Marnier souffle order. It happens to be one of my personal favorites from our dessert menu, and we would love for you to give us another opportunity to make it right. As always, valet parking is complimentary. Owning... A bit of a disappointment at Le Mistral Houston. I had the Entrecôte Grillée, Sauce Béarnaise, Pommes Frites 12-ounce dry aged prime Ribeye, green peppercorn Cognac sauce, French fries, Béarnaise, garlic French green beans. The Entrecôte was tough; I think the prep was OK, but it was poor quality cut of meat. I blame the supplier, and of course the... More

We came here with friends to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is not too large, the tables not too close together and the service not too overbearing. The lighting was dimmed but we did not need flashlights as at some other restaurants in Houston (listening Eddie Vs?) thank goodness. The quality of the food was top notch. Two of our... More

We went there on valentines day. The place so tiny and tables are so close to each other. We're asked for regular menu but they only served 3 course meals for $75 per person. Wth!!! Really. Their smoked salmon was good but not the lobster with banana pepper leaves and deserts was horrible. I guess they try to take advantage... More

Hi Ann, Every year we have a Special Valentine's Day price fixed menu which we attempt to make very clear is the only menu available on this day- quite a common thing for fine dining restaurants. We sent out special emails, as well as posted on our websites and multiple other sites and social media platforms, not to mention the... More

Normally great restaurants are not in strip malls - but this one is. It's excellent, great unique food, professional staff, and in a location near a bunch of offices. Perfect if you have to take someone out to lunch. I had a spinach salad with chicken. Very good and you'd never guess.
