This is a great Indian restaurants with a sophisticated kitchen. The food is excellent and the service is good, too.
I went to lunch here with 2 coworkers, and we had a LIVE COCKROACH in our bread basket! I have never felt so sick in my life. We had just finished eating most of our food, and we demanded to speak with the manager (I believe his name is Mickey Kapoor). Being very respectful, we said, "This is unacceptable," to... More
Went there for dinner and had the vegetarian platter. It was excellent, and the fried flour tortilla-like bread was fluffy and outstanding! Service was friendly and attentive; the establishment has a classy but quiet atmosphere. It is well worth a return visit.
A bit upscale, still very reasonable prices. Had the $20 variety platter (Sahib) - and everything was delightful. Service was amazing. Papadum, two sauces and water arrived at my table seconds after I sat down (and apparently was complementary with my meal.) Food arrived fresh & hot, my water glass was never less than half full. The patio looks reasonable,... More
... and I thoroughly enjoyed it! We all ordered different dishes and shared because they all knew it was my first time eating that type of cuisine. Among the dishes we ordered were butter chicken (excellent), lamb and chicken tikka masala (both excellent), vindaloo (we got their hottest sauce so I didn't partake), paneer (not a fan personally) and korma... Happened to be in an auto dealership opposite Khyber's restaurant, and just had to go in for the Saturday lunch time buffet, and I was immediately struck by the layout and cleanliness of this eaterie. Often, an Indian restaurant cna be a little dowdy, but not here. Table cloths with crisp, very white and unmarked by previous diners. Ther were... More
While visiting a friend in Texas we went to Khyber Grill for dinner as we both were "jonesing" for some good Indian fare. I have to say that Khyber represents the BEST Indian food I have had thus far. First off, the service was outstanding: helpful, smiling, courteous, and attentive. Second, the decor was very nice (dark woods) and great... More
It is difficult to find good North Indian restaurant in Houston. After Kiran this is the only place we felt happy. Will come back again!
This is not the standard Indian fare, although it it definitely Indian. It has a bit less kick than the Indian food I am accustomed to, which is one reason I like it so much. The lunch buffet is a bit over priced in my opinion, but the dinner is right on. The dinner for one is a good choice... More
Khyber has, for many years, been my family's favorite Indian food restaurant. Although I have, on a few occasions, gone to Khyber for lunch, I much prefer dining there in the evening. The lunch buffets are good, but no matter how good the buffet, it is still just a buffet with the inherent limitations of a buffet. Khyber offers a... More
