Had lunch once again at what we feel is the best Mexican Food in The Valley. It reminds us of the food that used to be in Matamoros before the violence. Pepe's probably has the best cheese enchiladas I've ever eaten. The service is terrific. The reason it did not get a 5 rating is that the chips were greasy, but other than that, this place is awesome! Don't be deterred by a full parking lot; they get you seated very quickly.

We come to Harlingen a couple of times a year and don't miss this restaurant. Food and service are just wonderful. Prices are excellent. Can't wait for my next meal from Pepe's.

Pepe's is a very good lunch place where the service is terrific (same loyal wait staff over the years) and the prices are reasonable. Our favorites are the enchiladas and crispy tacos.
