The wife and I decided to give this a place a shot for lunch. Nice atmosphere, courteous staff.
I had the Smoked brisket on Jalapeno Bun w/ pecan BBQ sauce. The brisket was tough by most standards. The bread not bad. Sauce wasn't anything to do cartwheels over. Overall not that bad...but not that great either. Better places for lunch...

Make and effort to stop into this place and get soem ice cream. If the charm and ambiance doesn't make you swoon, the ice cream sure will. Made in house it is delicious. The ice cream sandwich was a bit over the top for this sweet tooth...but LOVED the house made ice cream. Rocky road with pecans.....crazy good.

We actually couldn't remember the name but in strolling the street, found it. Just a fun fun place, out of the 50's, great bakery and awesome ice cream, fun helpful people. When he heard we were going to visit Fredericksburg, my Dad said: "You HAVE to get some ice cream from this place on Main St. It is the BEST ice cream I've ever put in my mouth!" And he was right: all homemade, many with locally grown ingredients, and just absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Great balance between sweet and rich.

Friendly greeting as walked in the door! We had peach and rocky road homemade ice cream! It was wonderful! We grabbed some huge cookies (oatmeal raisin and snicker doodle) for later. Glad we stopped in this sweet place on Main.
