This restaurant has a well deserved reputation in the Dallas area as a place to go for great food and great service. Unlike some of the old favorites (Old Warsaw) that have seen service and food slip, The French Room maintains its standards of quality. It still requires that men wear a coat. It is one of the few places... More

This place is expensive but so worth it! Great food, great ambiance, and great staff! The restaurant was beautiful, and we weren't rushed at all.

This lived up to everything we had hoped for: table, service, tasty food and a beautiful decorated room. The service was not uptight ( if you have been to a fine french restaurent you know what I mean) yet proffessional and warm. Perfect combination. we enjoyed the fact that food were not rushed and every dish came with 30 min... More

Feels very "old world" European. Beautiful dining experience in a romantic room. Classical music plays softly in the background and the surroundings are exquisite. Great food, service (especially with Francisco, our main server, who has been there for years). Highly recommend when in downtown Dallas. I had the tasting menu of the evening and it was more than a tasting... More

Oh, where do I begin??? My mouth is already salivating just reminiscing about the meal we enjoyed at the French Room. The decor was incredible. This is no restaurant, this is a dining room and a full dining experience. This is how dining should be. First off, don't be a slob. Dress appropriately. I think the dress code is key... More

This is one of the prettiest dining rooms I can remember, with a chandelier from Venice and paintings of angels with a color scheme to match it. The staff is knowledgable and helpful, without being intrusive. The food was excellent. As one would probably expect, the price is high indeed!

I have eaten at the French Room at the Adolphus Hotel several times through the years, always on special occasions, and found the service and food to be the best I have seen. The last time I went, in December, I celebrated my wife's birthday with friends, and the staff made her feel honored and special without the hoopla. This... More

I've eaten at a four-star restaurant in Paris, and my meal at the French Room in the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas was as good or better. I had the petit greens salad, the crab cake, and the duck breast. It's a little hard to describe each course as the dishes were rather complex. Let is only be said that each... More
