The bakery has an extensive range of food from sandwiches to pastries and a great selection of cakes. Coffee is good too
We ate lunch here while we waiting for friends to arrive in Milawa. The décor is not very exciting and but there's not many bakery's with a wine list. My quiche was microwaved which made the puff pastry a little like wet cardboard in consistency but overall it was tasty. the high was the side salad and the enormous piece... More
I love the food here and its great to be able to buy some of the produce when you finish your meal! the only downside of this place is that the food takes a while to get to the table, a couple of times I have thought they have forgotten me! Definitely a place to visit though!
We enjoyed a nice lunch here - pie and coffee followed by an ENORMOUS slice! My father's a big eater, and he rated this his favourite 'on the road' lunch. Very pleasant and helpful service.
Great bread here... the best in the region. If we are near Milawa we make a point in stopping and getting some of their lovely Corn Cob, its the best! Their food is lovely as well and it is a fantasic spot to stop off for a pizza or salad!
They have a good range of quality food and they also stock Milawa cheese factory bread, yummy. They have pies, sandwiches and an assortment of cakes and drinks. Something for everyone.
We visited the Milawa area 2 years ago and again in April 2013. We had very fond memories of the bakery from our last visit and couldn't wait to see if was still as good - It was. They have a terrific range of gourmet pies that are out of this world. I can highly recommend the Chicken, Sweet potato... More
Nice flavoured pies...nice quiet location with a few shops close by to wander around after your lunch.
Staff were friendly, food was decent (try the Lamb Rosemary Pie!) but food was overpriced. A Focaccia was $10.50! I would have expected $6 maybe? Restrooms were clean too :)
I have to say, compared to other places available, the Milawa Bakery is very overpriced. Maybe tourists from Melbourne and surrounds are comfortable paying these prices but as a local I am not. The quality of food is fine, pretty standard for a bakery. On the up side, the staff were fast, friendly and efficient.
