We stopped here for bar food. Egg mayonnaise was one miniscule egg and a dollop of mayo with wilted lettuce browning at yhe edge. Ham and cheese toasted was thin and the Ham would have been visible only with an electron microscope. Cold chips. Tannic tea.

Booking was easy. Manager came to meet me, printed me a sample menu within 2 minutes, had plenty of food options, and the best thing is the option on rooms.
For a christening we booked a smaller room (seats up to 30) which was perfect to allow the kids play on the carpet without any fear of them running off...

On the road for a few hours, we pulled in to grab a bite to eat at the Courtenay Lodge Hotel. With all the new motorways now cutting us off from our traditional stop offs, we are looking to identify new spots. This hotel is located in such a great place for travellers but the food was so incredibly disappointing....

We have ate on a few occasions in this bar/restaurant. The bar is nicely decorated. The staff are nice and helpful, food arrives quickly and there is a nice selection on the menu. Their pizza's are really nice, the menu with the pizza is only on after lunch time, up to that there is a different menu.
