With regards the fish and chips, you definitely would get better in a fast food. Portion were ridiculously small and tasteless, presentation was poor and the menu was overpriced. . Seafood (mussels and prawns) was from frozen packet and not fresh. They should be embarrassed of their Seafood curry, curry out of a jar would taste better and you could... More

Very expensive for the standard of food served. The bar is a pleasant place for a drink though. More

O'Dowds is one of the very few place to eat in Roundstone in the middle of winter. We dropped into the restaurant on a Sunday night with no reservation. We were offered a table but told it was reserved for an hour later so we would have to be finished by then. We were seated in a back room off... More

My veggie girlfriend and I went to this place after a week in Ireland. It was the best food we had in all that week, Nice open fires in the winter, friendly staff. More

Roundstone, 18:00 in november, you do not have much choice. The O'Dowds is opened, local people in the bar and in the little restaurant. So we decide to try it. First good point : the fireplace ! Second good point: the soup. Seafood is correct but you the portion to be bigger for the price (around 20 euros) and better... More

Loved the seafood chowder and the lamb stew takes some beating, the dining room is quite dark and the best table is the one by the window,on a cold wet evening with a nice peat fire in the grate and good nourishing food it is a great place to be. More

We had a drink here on a wet day and loved the pub which was full of fishermen. We decided to go back for lunch the next day. Great decision. Great food. Highly recommend More

Our family visited Roundstone at the end of October. We have been here a few times before. We ate both in the Restaurant and the Bar at O'Dowds during our visit. Would I recommend the food? Hmmmmm is my response. You see O'Dowds was really good about three years ago but it has gone down hill significantly. It is difficult... More
