McCreary's is a frequent stop for us. Can't go wrong with their menu. Their wings are probably my favorite of any wing joint I have been to and their fish and chips is great too.
Kick-butt Fish & Chips and 2-4-1 Happy Hour! This little treasure on Franklin’s Main Street cannot be beat. The food, service and atmosphere are perfect. Dress down, relax and have a couple beers. If you are looking for an 1880’s Irish tavern with No sports, No TV’s and No loud music, this is the place. It was absolutely refreshing eating... More
My wife and I had lunch a couple of weeks ago at McCreary's. I wanted Shepard's Pie and she had corned beef and cabbage. It doesn't get more Irish than that. Both were very good. Service is also good as the food and" Franklin Friendly". Old building with historic flavor adds to the experience.
The locations is small, but quaint in the Franklin historic district. We were there early for supper and had about a 20 minute wait. My husband and I both had the fish & chips, and it was delicious. My daughter had the chicken pot pie. It came in a cute little ceramic pot. She loved it! Our waitress was attentive,... More
We went here last night and had a good enough meal. I had the shepards pie and it was very good, although a somewhat small portion. My wife had the burger and was disappointed as it was too dry. The beer selection is good and the service was very good as well. This is a small pub so you may... More
Very small place in historic district - we both had the pot pies and they were very good - flaky & full of filling. Large drink & beer selection. Very friendly and attentive service - never had to ask for drink refills or anything else - checked to see that we liked the dishes. Would not hesitate to go back... More
The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The food was good but nothing to rave about. They did have a good drink list.
Good food and great friendly service in a relatively small Irish restaurant. Hard to call this a Pub as their are only a few bar seats and the decor not exactly what you find in an Irish pub either here or in Ireland. Don't think the food will disappoint, however the atmosphere leaves a it to be desired. Location in... More
Okay, you can't compare their fish and chips to what you would get in London. (Yes, I know it's an Irish restaurant.) But nowhere are you going to get a big honking piece of cod, so just think Americanized version. Given that their food is good. I usually do their Shepherd's pie. I don't like the bread though. Cute place,... More
McCreary's is one of the few places I can say that I truly miss about middle Tennessee. My wife and I discovered it by accident while exploring Franklin and we went back many times over the next four years. The atmosphere reminds me of pubs I frequented while I was living in Europe. The fish and chips are a knockout.... More
