Overpriced and very disappointing. Creative cuisine. Kobe beef tasted like skirt steak. Great service though and elegant surroundings.

St. John's is a beautiful place--bright, crisp and elegant in its simplicity. The food is marvelous and the wine menu is extensive and eclectic, but not intimidating because the wait staff is very knowlegeable and helpful.
This was my 2nd visit from Atlanta and I have to say both meals were excellent & comparable to the best that Atlanta has to offer. The service is even better than the food. We had the most attentive servers - down to earth & extremely knowledgeable and helpful without being intrusive. Although this is fine dining - there is...

The quality and consistency of the food at St. Johns is amazing. Everything I've ever consumed here has exceeded expectations.
On our recent visist, they were out of our requested wine. They offered us the higher-price relative wine from the same vineyard for the same price. Needless to say, it was superb as well.
If you're in Chattanooga, this should...

We had dinner at St John's Market Place two days ago and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The menu offered a choice of small and large plates. We chose to create our meals from the small plates and it was a splendid idea. Three of us shared six small plates, including halibut tostada with shrimp and avocado mouse, scallops with blood...

The atmosphere, was elegant, but casual at the same time. The grilled chicken with kale-ricotta gnocchi, cherries, pine nuts and brown butter was incredible!! The molten chocolate cake was the best I have ever tasted. You can taste seriously high quality chocolate used in that sumptuous dessert!
St. John's is Chattanooga's best. We've been several times and have never been disappointed. The worst night was due to a table of obviously hearing impaired thirty something who had to yell at each other to hear over their own laughter (turns out they were from someplace above the Mason Dixon line where Rahm Emanuel is mayor and they left...

We had a great evening at this restaurant, after booking into the chatannooga hotel which was rather disappointing this delicious refined meal with fine wines made up for that.we went back the next night but unfortunately for us it was closed.would highly recommend this restaurant for food wine and service.
St. JOHN's is somewhat upscale but with great food and wine! A lot of the food ingredients are from local farms.
