We ordered buffalo burgers. We asked for them to be cooked medium. 45 minutes later they came to us, cooked as very well. We really don't believe they were buffalo burgers. This was not our first time eating buffalo.

We stopped here on a weekend trip to the Badlands. Service was okay, but the food was not up to par. I had scalloped potatoes with ham that was the saltiest I ever tasted. This place is in a great location to compete with Wall Drug, but I think they'll need new kitchen staff to pull it off.
The Cactus Cafe is located in the middle of the Wall Drug boardwalk and serves up decent food at fair prices - especially considering that you are immersed in a tourist trap with a sense of humor. We were attracted to the place because their road signs ooze the kind of humor I enjoy, we were hungry, and we needed...

The service was good but the food was really really bad!! I do not like to write bad reviews but i would not be able to sleep if i did not warn my fellow road trippers. I am in the Army and i rather eat an MRE than at the Cactus Cafe. We ordered the chicken fried and it tasted...

Across the road from Wall Drug Store. Food was okay - nothing great, but filling and made as ordered. Service was okay. Stopped in for a late lunch in winter - off season - whole area was very quiet with few places open to choose from. Place looked very dated, and a bit rundown.
Typical small town menu but the food was way better than I expected. I would eat here again. Place was clean and the staff were friendly.
Good food, great western feel, there is a bar, perfect place for a pit stop while heading west. The service was quite good, we didn't have to wait long at all.
Having arrived in Wall, South Dakota, we were tired and hungry after a long day of driving. After checking in to our room, we ventured into town for a bite to eat. Enter Cactus Cafe! At first we were concerned, the place was crowded and apparently under-staffed. Yet we decided to sit and relax and we are sure glad we...

The Cactus Cafe and Lounge is the worst restaurant meal I experienced in 2012. My daughter ordered spaghetti and sauce. The pasta was overcooked and probably had been simmering on the back burner for hours. The pinkish sauce was absolutely tasteless. My roast beef sandwich was food service beef that was dried almost to the point of being jerky. The...

My family ate lunch here after a visit to Wall Drug. I ordered the turkey dinner special. The turkey was dry and flavorless. The potatoes were instant, and the gravy was clearly from a mix, and so salty that it was inedible. My companion ordered a sandwich which was tiny, and my daughter's hamburger was overcooked and would have served...
