In a group of thirty teenagers, the single waitress had no help serving them. Food orders werent taken till 30mins after being seated. The food, after an hour and a half of waiting, was bland and terrible, either the chef or waitress forgetting that medium rare is not cooked till crisp. I will NEVER go back there again.

Yummy really is the word for the bacon and cheese skillet at the Millstone. I practically have this every Sunday. We came into Spearfish late one night for business and, looking for something to eat, came across the Millstone. Great soup, great sandwhich, perfect place to break from the road. It was a good taste of South Dakota and some good home-style cooking.

Lots of good old comfort food. On the recommendation of the waitress - had the chicken fried steak and as a guilty pleasure it was a good old fashion treat. Well stocked salad bar with a bonus of bread pudding.

Locals eat here on a regular basis the burgers, salad bar, daily specials and breakfasts are always excellent! Food is fresh, hot and portions are good sized. This is a great late night place too. Wait staff is always very friendly and fun. Love coming here for a close to home cooked meal without the clean up.

Ordered the bison burger and it arrived looking and tasting like a dried out veggie burger!! Really?? I was told that they were grilled but it really looked like it was prepared off site and microwaved. I don't care that it was extremely inexpensive, it was just plain bad.

Never been to a Millstone before, but this was right off the highway, so it was VERY convenient. The restaurant is similar to a Denny's or a Perkin's. Good food, served quickly and a very friendly staff.

Can't attest to lunch or dinner but we walked her from our motel for breakfast. We split a breakfast skillet which was plenty. It was very good; very friendly staff.

Looked around for a quick place to have lunch and The Millhouse is located close to the Interstate, had plenty of parking so we gave it a shot.
