Had the hummus, grilled veggies and stuffed grape leaves. Plenty of food, good wine and awesome service! Not bad for a Greek restaurant in a South Carolina town!
Summerville, SC is probably not the first city you would think of when you are in the mood for Greek food. But, they do a better than average job. Kristina, our server, was great. For appetizers we ordered the pita dip and the stuffed grape leaves. I was disappointed they didn't serve tzatziki, but Kristina told us they tried serving... More
We've lived about 18 years and Continental Corner has consistently offered great food. You leave feeling you've gotten your money's worth of great food! I highly recommend dining at the Continental Corner for great Greek food!
Continental Corner is a quint little place in downtown Summerville. They serve authentic Greek food. The Greek salad is simply delicious and of course they make their own baklava. We went with family, but I saw larger groups of people and couples. This restuarant has been around for a long time and you can certainly tell why.
Loved eating the wonderful food here. I would order and sit outside. I loved watching the people on the street and all the shops that are close by. Near the People, Places and Quilt shop, so I had the best of both world
Service was poor, had ask for water refills, others that were seated after us received their food first, and our food was not hot and was a poor substitute for "Greek" food. We ordered Calamari that was served with Buffalo Hot Sauce that was not good, and the combination plate was only warm. The sausage was good, but we could... More
Food, service, friendliness, atmosphere all excellent. The owner of the restaurant is the Greek Othrodox priest in Summerville and has many authentic Greek cooking devices and decorations in the establishment.
We live in town and eat here a number of times a month. Today, for the second time, when we asked to be seated in their room with tables, we were told ( it was 5:20pm) that room would not be opened for 10 more minutes, at 5:30pm. We had already had a day when we arrived before 5pm and... More
The menu does no t include items that I would expect on a Greek menu (Pastichio, Mousaka). It was obvious that the Spanakopita and Tiropata were barely warmed and had been microwaved. The phyllo pastry was not crisp and a bit soggy. Yuck! I do not expect leftovers at a restaurant.
We stopped in with the hope of finding a place to visit on a regular basis, but our experience was questionable. Our server was great, but the food wasn't. When I asked for tzatziki, I was given sour cream. Did they think I wouldnt be able to tell the difference? There was no hint whatsoever of cucumber. The entrees lacked... More
