Yamato's is excellent. It's popular. So, I'd recommend an earlier dinner time. Food is sooooo tasty! I've never had a bad experience there. The kids love it, too. They are mesmerized by the chef and his routine of tricks and cooking food. Can't wait to go back!

Kids loved the hibachi! Food was very tasty and they were nice enough to come and make all kinds of noise and sing songs for my daughters birthday. We had a reservation and got in right wawy.

The Japanese style Hibachi is very good and is always a great place to celebrate a birthday or other special event with friends.

Yamato has been a local favorite for many years now in Mount Pleasant. It is located on the Isle of Palms Connector so it is convenient from Mount Pleasant, IOP or Sullivan's Island. I like Japanese steak houses in general because everything is cooked in front of you, but this one in particular seems clean, fresh and friendly.

I've been to bunch of Japanese restaurants in SC so far since I came here form Japan, and I think this restaurant is quite average, overall.
