Don't let the location in a strip-mall fool you. This restaurant makes seriously good food with quality ingredients and an excellent presentation. The seafood, the pork chops, the vegetables and everything else tasted fresh and was prepared with care and flair. The sangria, which is made at the restaurant, is delightful and the wine selection is tremendous. You will have... More

An unlikely find in Columbia, Solstice never disappoints. There are some standard favorites always on the menu (steak frites) and some modern interpretations of Southern ingredients (grits prepared in ways my mother never dreamed of). The waiters are professional and courteous but never intrusive. In addition to an extensive wine list, there are excellent wines by the glass. The portions... More

I have visited Columbia, South Carolina twice in the past 6 months on business. On my two visits, this restaurant stood out most for quality of food and service. We were there on on Monday night and there was a special on bottles of wine for $20 which cannot be beat. The group of three shared two orders of Foie... More

I expect to get great food when I visit Seattle or Chicago, but wasn't sure what Columbia would have to offer. A friend referred me to Solstice and I have thanked him ever since. I let the waiter select everything I ate and he did an excellent job. One of my best meals ever!

Had the meatloaf special and it was very good. Others had different entrees and it all looked good and everyone enjoyed their meal. Would definitely go back.

After spending a day at the Masters, we were looking for a quality dinner in Columbia and we found it a Solstice. The reservations were made on the drive up and the young lady couldn't have been nicer. The interior is upscale and noise levels were comfortable. Our waiter, Jonathan was marvelous. Each appetizer was creative and the entrees cooked... More

After more than ten hours on the road from Erie PA, on our way to Savannah GA we checked Trip Advisor for a restaurant in Columbia SC. Solstice came up as number one and now we know why. The decor was perfect, the service excellent and the food could not have been better. This brief stop made our day and... More

A Valentine's week dinner. My wife and I enjoyed the food and the experience. Rather surprised that it was not as loud as many places with the amount of dinners there but it was easy to carry on a conversation. The service was excellent. It is worth the drive from Lexington. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Being rated #1 on trip advisor for Columbia, SC we absolutely knew we wanted to go while visiting our grandchildren 3/30/2013, and boy are we happy we did. Thanks for the advise and I can only say it was perfection with a wide variety entrees, appetizers and desserts ordered at our table.

We were traveling through Columbia from our home just north of Washington, DC. Solstice sounded like a place we would try if we were home. Our experience was fantastic. For those from Maryland, think of a cross between Grapeseed in Bethesda and the Wine Kitchen in Frederick -- only with the friendliness we anticipate in the South. Hostess, servers, bar... More
