Kaya is a part of the Big Burrito chain, which has quite a few restaurants scattered around Pittsburgh (Casbah, Soba, Eleven...) so I was interested to see how it compared. We went on Mother's Day and were not disappointed. The location is not so great, but the restaurant itself is quite nice. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the... More

I found out about this restaurant on trip advisor after searching for vegetarian brunch places. The food was absolutely fantastic (I had the granola with yogurt to start, the fish tacos as my entre, and then the chocolate lava cake as my dessert. All were wonderful, and VERY creatively done. I assumed that the granola would just be a bowl... More

My wife and I went here with some friends of ours. It was a very enjoyable brunch. We have since went back several times and will continue to do so. They have a great beer selection and the mixed drinks are perfect for anytime of the day. We have had several dishes but me personally; I love their paella!

They have an off-beat, unique menu with lots of exciting flavors that make your mouth go, "Wow!" It is a bit expensive for poor college students, but it is worth it for a nice night out. The staff is nice, the bathrooms are clean, and there is outdoor seating in the summer. Plus, if they're busy, you can get the... More

The grapefruit basil margarita is fantastic. Really tasty combinations of flavors. Really unique for Pittsburgh.

Had reservations here for a celebration dinner. Interesting drink menu, variety of beers. Cracked conch fritters dubbed awesome by my teenage son. Also enjoyed tofu cracklin's served "lettuce wrap" style. Entrees we liked were fish tacos and jambalaya. Roasted chicken a bit overdone, flank steak nothing special. We shared two desserts which we really enjoyed, chocolate banana bread pudding and... More

I love trying new places, but this place is the pits... There wasn't too much to choose from the menu, so I got the Kaya burger minus the pickles. The burger was delicious, but if I go to a place like that I'd like to order a restaurant specialty. Nothing on the menu really appealed to me. I also had... More

I went to Kaya with my son who is a sous chef. The menu was great offering a wonderful variety from ordinary to unique. The staff was well informed, the food presentation was superb. My son gave it two thumbs up and we will be back.

We really enjoyed our food; we had conch, corn chowder (just enough kick and sweetness), Curried veggies (great taste!), Jerk Pulled Pork Quesadillas (loved the spicy slaw) and chocolate lava cake (took a little bit of time so they gave it to us for free). The server was really nice and we enjoyed the atmosphere. My only complaint is that... More
