This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is really good and fresh. the service is always great. Locally sourced ingredients abound. Nothing that I can think to complain about here.

My Stepfather were traveling to the VA hospital for some appts he had so after reading reviews I thought we would give it a try. I ordered the one bowl special which was meatballs with some fresh herbs and Parmesan and my Pop had a dish with three kinds of pork. My plate weas very reasonably priced but I ended...

I went to Legume last week as part of a large family group. IIt was a picky crowd: two vegetarians, one gluten free, two children, and a couple of meat and potatoes non-adventurers. The menu really had something for everyone. Overall, It was by far one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. The restaurant looked...

Had a wonderful dinner here with fresh locally-sourced meats and vegetables. Enjoyed creative lamb, chicken, and ravioli entrees and a great chocolate cake. Easy to walk to from anywhere on Pitt campus.
My husband, son and I ate at this up to date restaurant near Carnegie Mellon and U Pitt. Menu changes daily and features local seasonal foods. Although there are only four or five entrees and appetizers, there was a good variety of fish, vegetarian and meat based dishes to satisfy all. Good port/Madeira/dessert wine selection to compliment the dessert selection....

I cannot think of more creative title even though this place is very creative in their offerings. The menu is small and changes daily I was told. There were five entrees-two seafood, one vegetarian one pokr and one meat ravioli. Our group of 5 tried everything (save for one who was supplied with the chicken which they may have onhand...

My spouse and I ate at Legume in late November 2012 for dinner. We were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh University Place, and we were able to walk to this restaurant (although the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle bus within a small radius of the hotel). Valet parking (indoors) is available. The restaurant moved to its current location...

My husband and I recently ate here to see one of our favorite veteran waiters who used to work at Bona Terra ( sadly, now closed). Justin was great, as always. The food at Legume wasn't as great as the service or as we had hoped- maybe too much hype. Good, not great. The menu is VERY limited, so be...

There is a difference between an expensive restaurant and a gourmet restaurant. There are many expensive restaurants in Pittsburgh (many of which are on Mount Washington) but few good gourmet ones. Legume is truly a gourmet restaurant. I have never had anything but a great meal there.
I ate here with friends whilst visiting Pittsburgh. We couldn't find a cab anywhere so ended up walking in. Its quite posh and had mix of business and social clientele. The ambiance is reasonably reserved though here was a hum of chatter. The menu was good and the wine list pretty decent. Service was very good and the staff knowledgeable...
