You can go casual or as formal as you want to take it. Our only less than perfect experience was during a very busy day with a huge party going on. Foor was awesome, but our service that day was seriously lacking. We spoke to the owner that evening - stuff happens, and she more than made up for it.... More

Dined at WHAT IF? Was delighted by their menu choices. Hard to choose, veal chop with cheese sauce, crab with artichokes and 4kinds of cheese Sea bass with pesto ,lobster ravioli. I finally settled on Shrimp with feta sautéed in olive oil and pesto. They had 3 kinds of bread. Olive was my favorite .Dining room is noisy but the wait... More

My filet mignon was pricey ($35) and really had no flavor to it at all....my green beans and mashed potatoes were even bland. Lobster ravioli was ok. Tirimasu was the best part of the meal. Restaurant located in the basement of a HoJo Motel. It's dark & small but nicely decorated (red & black modern decor). The temp in the... More

The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is nice and the service was good. I would definitely eat here again. The portions are good sized but not overdone. I had the filet and it was very tender. My friend had the lobster ravioli and she raved about it.

We are in the Hershey/Harrisburg area five or six times a year for various conferences and have yet to find a restaurant with better food, service and consistency than "What If". Great starters with the Southwestern Shrimp, Baked Brie and Crab Dip. Our latest entrees consisted of the Pesto Shrimp, Crab Alfredo, Striped Bass, Filet, and Crab Cakes. All were... More

I've never been disappointed with the food at this restaurant. It's flavoursome and a good portion size. The specials are always interesting and delicious.Service and value for money are both good too.

I have been to Hershey several times but never knew the What If existed, and would not have if a client had not taken me to dinner there. It is in the basement of a Howard Johnson's Motel. That's a motel chain that never has topped my list of places to stay so left on my own, I probably never... More

I almost hesitate writing this review since I feel like this restaurant is a best kept secret! Though the entrance to the restaurant seems subpar entering through an older hotel, once there, the dining experience could not be beat. The menu is very diverse. The appetizers are divine and the entrees delicious. The desserts are also fabulous! The service is... More

Loved the atmosphere, food was good but wished they had something for the simple person in the group like a specialty burger or something. Didn't appreciate that the specials of the day didn't have prices quoted. Crab dip was the best. Crab cake needs seasoning like old bay
