My wife and I took her grand parents out to birthday dinner. The courses were perfect in size, the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The chef even visited the table near end of meal to ensure that everything was perfect. The pork chops were prepared well and the egg plant parm was excellent. We all (8) agreed to make reservations... More

I planned a small retirement lunch here. Cheryl was very helpful and could not have done more to make it special. We were a party of 8 and everyone thought their food was delicious! Great service and ability to adapt the menu to special diets. Another great feature is BOYB!

The service was fast and friendly. The food was good but not great but I definitely plan on going back.

We went to this restaurant as a recommendation, since we live out of town. When we pulled out, our first reaction was to find somewhere else when we saw the restaurant was connected to the Howard Johnson. I decided to check the reviews on my phone and we decide to try it, instead of judging a book by its cover!... More

This was my second recent visit to 'What If.' Same as my first visit, the food was good, friendly staff, reasonable prices. This time I took three friends. I like that the menu is not huge, with the daily specials there is something for everyone. One small complaint, they need to keep up with their website with a current menu... More

This is a great place for a special lunch. The food is more gourmet than a regular lunch spot but still casual and good for a business lunch with clients.

We enjoyed a very good dinner and a great conversation with the manager. Great place for lunch or dinner. We ate dinner with another couple and everyone enjoyed their meal. The crab and artichoke dip was excellent too. We like that fact that it is BYOB allowing us to bring what we like to drink and just paying for food.

The outside is a small, old house in a neighborhood in north Harrisburg, easy to miss. The inside is a modest, nicely-decorated room with little nooks and crannies and a small terrace for the summer. We had lunch there, so I can't speak for the dinner menu, but the mussels and crab cakes we had were superb. This would seem... More

An out of way little gem. Amazing food great waitress and quaint building did not realize it was a BYO cafe so went back to our hotel to grab our wine. To some it up was exceptional. A real find

Small menu but food was very good. It is located a little off the beaten path, but worth the trip. BYOB. Chef was accommodating to my gluten allergy.
