The waitress has been there through several chanhes in ownership & knows the place + its food well. Helpful & friendly. The outside stairs are impossible especially for anyone w/ slightest handicap. Food was about 20% overpriced + portions small. Tasty, well prepared. Went away still somewhat hungry.

I liked the Oysters and crab dip. Limited beer selection. Basic liquor choices. Sort of run down. Service was great. Beer list posted was out of date. Why promote stuff you don't have? Only open in the evening.

Great seating arrangements, reasonably priced food. It looks very original with wood beams, a wide variety of different types of chairs.

Stopped for dinner on the way across the state. Slow slow slow service. For being a historical tavern, the atmosphere was pink and green. Not very historical or quaint. No meat on the menu besides seafood. Had a burger, asked for A1 and they don't have any steak sauce. Won't Stop here again. Avoid.

Although we had enjoyed the food in the downstairs pub, this was our first time in the dining room. It's very nice, spacious and airy if a little on the barren side. We had a delightful server - knowledgable, attentive, obviously happy to be working there. The "All you can eat" section of the menu is a little confusing. I'm... More

This review belongs with another restaurant having a similar name on its menu. I've already reviewed that restaurant at its proper site, so this review should be deleted because we have never so much as set foot in this place. Sorry for the mixup, but in this tiny town they both refer to themselves at times as the Tavern.

The place is gross. We waited at the hostess counter for at least 10mins before someone appeared only to tell us to "seat yourself". We ordered the chicken quesadillas as an appetizer - they used canned chicken; & apparently asking for app plates & sour cream are extra - as these were not automatically provided. The person I was with... More

Chili, fish and chips, boutique beers and other things we've had here are always excellent. Service is attentive, and the view through the large picture windows, along with the historic setting, is pleasantly relaxing. Tip: If there's just one or two of you, get there before peak hours so you can sit alongside the windows. The tables there are small,... More

The menu had a nice selection, and the food was very good. Loved the historic atmoshere and the comfortable seats. We went back for cocktails later.

We had lunch which was good, but afterwards we had one of the best Bloody Mary's I ever orderd. Green olives add that special touch.
