Embers is a must on all of our trips to Joseph. We love Theresa and the great service she and her staff give to all of their guests. You can expect a homey, casual atmosphere, filled with locals and toursits alike. I recommend her pizzas, wings and salads--always a winner! Come to Embers for the great service, stay for the... I know I ate there because I took a business card on the way out, but I can't say it was a memorable meal.I can't even remember what I ate there yesterday.

We had lunch at this place. Very nice food. Lots of beer selections if you are a beer enthusiast. Waitress was very cheerful and helpful with the menu

Really nice, broad tap list, and good food. Seemed like a place a lot of locals hung out, and it could get a bit loud, but had a nice, homey feel. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ate here two or three time, as they were the best place open much of the time (pickin's are slim in mid-October... More

The patio and deck of the Embers is where locals gather at the end of the day. Food isn't bad, beer selection is okay. We felt like we had found the nexus of the town.

We first visited, Embers Restaurant, on a trip in, 2009. We remembered it was good, so on a return visit, we gave it another go. Embers turned into our, "The place to go" restaurant, on our second visit to the area. On both occasions, the service was good, the food delicious, and abundant, the brew choices excellent, and the weather,... More

It had been years, probably 25, since I'd been to the small town of Joseph, Oregon and while some things haven't changed, plenty has. On a 10 day motorcycle tour of the Northwest, I planned my loop to spend an afternoon in Joseph, a town and area where I spent a few weekends in my "youth". When I rode into... More

We were there in September 2012. Servers were very nice, but we waited a long time for drinks and a reaaaaaly long time for food. Food was quite good and prices were reasonable, but it seemed like they needed more servers to give adequate service. Made our exeprience less than great, even tho the food was good.

We tried to go to Caldera and Val's but they were either closed or fully booked. This happened twice and we were able to enjoy the Embers food each time. Good and plenty, well prepared and served. Terrific wait staff. You will like it and try the deep fried pickles.

This place is always busy - but we had good service and the food was decent. The first night we ate here the burger was a little dry but still good. Second night I wanted chicken alfredo and they were out of alfredo? They gave me the pesto chicken alfredo for the same price and some extras. Our server was... More
