Have eaten here several times - as recently as last Sunday. Always consistently good pub fare. Pot pies are really good, and the choice of steaks are great value. Beats my local in the Hills district hands down.

Friendly service and great food in a beautiful old building and small but nice beer garden, the Wagyu Burger was delicious. Love the way they have converted a part of the building into a gallery, its a clever use of the space and adds extra appeal to the already beautiful decor.
We have been before and enjoyed it, but this time the food was average, expensive and service pretty non-existent.
We thought we'd avoid theTVs inside, but then had to deal with the smokers outside. The tables were not cleaned off, the menu was unimaginative, lots of fried food, and the service was poor, but it was the only place open Jan. 1st.
I was delighted to eat in this restaurant on my first night in Australia. I have watched loads of Australian films and I felt like I was in a movie - Crocodile Dundee or something like that. The staff were welcoming and although the menu is not vast there was something for everyone. I had Barramundi which was awesome as...

The pub is missing something. maybe it's the lack of windows or decent outdoor areas. Pretty pricey too, especially the wine, however the food is far better than that from the other pub in town (The New Ivanhoe).
We had our evening meal at Gardner's Inn. While the decor is looking rather shabby (it looks like there are renovations happening, slowly) the food was reasonably priced and very tasty. I had an excellent eye fillet which was cooked just how I ordered & my friend had bangers & mash which she enjoyed also. Staff were friendly and helpful.
They have the tastiest pies ever! The first time I was told to buy one I was very hesitant of the price and complained a bit saying "better be a good pie". Then I tasted it. Amazing! Then I bought another. Lol I suspect the pies are from the bakery opposite the doctors surgery cos they have the tastiest pies...

Went here for dinner and had to send the vegetarian eggplant dish back to the kitchen as it was still frozen. Waited 20 minutes for another one which was still cold! Fish was very small and very overpriced. Wait staff young and experienced and couldn't care less. We weren't the only customers complaning. Would recommend that you definately give it...

We've been here for two good meals twice before, and so returned for a third time. It was very disappointing. The lamb shanks (which was one, singular) was like a rubber mallet, swimming in a soup bowl sized slop of gravy, mash and peas. $26! It looked completely unappetising and the presentation was awful. How could it be slopped up...
