Had a mid week carvery which was perfectly adequate, and good value at £6.00 However, I understand that you have to pay extra on Sundays, and if that the case, I would suggest that you look elsewhere.

Had breakfast there on Bank Holiday Monday. We were surprised that it was so quiet in there but when we got the breakfast we understood why. We had our meal here on a Sunday evening and was not happy with it. Firstly we waited to be sitted and eventually the bar man came over and complained it wasnt his job to do this(like that was our problem. He asked 2 waitresses where to sit us, neither answered him. Toby Carvery Washington is on my door step, literally. Pop in through the week if I want to be lazy and not cook, Sunday Lunch is a must if you like big meals. Always well priced and food cooked to perfection.
Lots of choice, carvery excellent, service good- however so good you really have to try and book or get there early great for after work as no washing up peeling spuds etc
We can get a better meal at our local pub,The King's Head in Lanchester & at a slightly cheaper price.
love it, never had a bad one yet don't have long to wait for a table if having buffet, you go straight away if food off menu usually quick
Usually you know where you are with a Toby Carvery. Good food, good service. Not here. On arrival we were asked to take a seat in bar area as the restaurant was busy, this wasn't a problem at all. Once seated at our dirty table we were given 2 filthy highchairs for our children to sit in by the MANAGER! The service was slow, staff disinterested and food quality lacking. Once we had cleaned the table and the highchairs we we treid our best to enjoy our meal to no avail. We have visted the Toby many times over...
