We spent a very enjoyable evening at the pepper pot. The menu Is superb and the food is even better! Local produce, fantastic quality and reasonably priced. I love the twist of bringing your own booze, made the evening much more relaxing. Fantastic food atmosphere and experience Will be booking another meal soon!!

This was our 3rd visit to The Pepper Pot & unfortunately it will be our last .The Chef / Owner presents a good menu & food of a good quality however the organisation & service in the small restaurant is very poor . The staff are very pleasant but seam to lack supervision - there is no bar/ waiting area... More

Enjoyed a lovely evening meal in relaxed surroundings. Very helpful and happy staff. The menu offered a wide choice and all food home cooked and competitively priced. I would definitely recommend a visit

What an amazing venue . Friendly and attentive staff . The squid starter was perfect and in our party of 6 the crab cakes rated only 6/10 as they were quite light on crab but presentation was excellent . The steaks were well presented and tasted delicious . The menu is quite restricted but rarely a poor dish . Lovely... More

We visited last night as a party of 8 and had a superb meal and family dining experience (thanks to all). The 2 x serving staff were very good, but the dishes produced and consumed were fantastic - quality and value. We endorse the vast majority of reviews given the Pepper Pot, where nothing is too much trouble, and real... More

This place has charm by the bucketful. The staff are dynamic and the food is often excellent. The chef cooks better Italian food than either of the two Italian restaurants in Morpeth. I felt just as comfortable having a cup of tea here as lunch or dinner, and I went there almost every day for a while. If I were... More

I made my first trip here after it was recommended to me (several times) by family, and I had a lovely evening out. In my opinion they've got it absolutely right. It's a great example of how sometimes in restaurants 'simple is best', and the uncomplicated style of cooking really allows the quality of the locally sourced, seasonal ingredients to... More

I came here with a few friends as I did a bit of research prior. The reviews were pretty good I have to say but unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. Firstly the staff seem very rude and the chef looked rather dirty. There's a door that leads from the eating area to the kitchen in the back and... More

The restaurant is BYO and they charge a small fee for corkage, fine by me. Went with family and had a great night out. Children get to make own pizza at the table and all of us enjoyed our choices. Went early adn got a table but would advise to book. Chef very friendly adn great staff, will go again.
