I wish I could say good things about this place, I saw this place being built and I had high hopes. It has a cool retro look but the food is nothing special, it is overpriced and the kids working there seem to feel its a hangout for them.

What is the bid deal? A drive-in situated on a bare bones muddy lot? The outside looks cool with it's sign and neon signs. Inside it looks like a bad 70's sitcom.
For us as a couple to eat it was over $16.00. For two hot dogs and two sides and two small drinks? The "dog" was dull. The bun...

I've been there twice, had the Chicago Dog both times and it was great. It is a little pricey, but it was a great dog. Next time I want to try their fries and root beer. I ate inside, they have a flat screen TV and had football on, which is a great idea. GREG
I was disappointed in the size of the dog. It was mostly bun and a lot of condiment. The mustard has a funny curry taste to it I didn't care for. My husband had a burger which was very thin with lots of bun and condiment again. Not worth the price.
My husband and I tried Retro Dog today for the first time. We checked out the online menu and thought it looked like it could be good. Unfortunately, it fell flat for us. Almost everything was flavorless. Even though the dogs had lots of toppings on them, nothing really stood out. I had the onion rings, and with the deep...

Love the vegetarian options! Thank you for offering them. Can't wait to go back again and try the different toppings on the vegke sausage
We got in when they first opened and there were at least 9 people working so, it was disappointing to see some tables, chairs and areas of the floor were dirty. Staff was friendly. Veggie dog was awful! Dry and burnt besides having a weird flavor. 2nd time I have been in and not impressed. At least the fries and...

Been twice, first time got a hot dog and fries. The sweet relish is neon green but still very good. The fries are fresh cut and also good. Today I got a hamburger and onion rings. Yum! The bun is very fresh and soft and the burger made it all the way to the last bite. The onion rings were...

I've been 3-4 times and so far so good! Hot dogs and sides have been very good. My family doesn't care for the coney sauce, but that's a personal preference not a knock on Retro Dog. Love that there is a drive up option too.
Drove by the place often while it was under construction - really catches your eye with the fifty's vibe architecture - awesome - have only been once - but will go back - Had a dog with sourkraut, shaved pickle and mustard - won't order that again - kraut tasted as if it had just been taken out a container...
