Lovers of ethnic food, we went to Cafe Istanbul at lunchtime on our Anniversary. Parking could be an issue at this Easton Mall location, but we found a spot easily on this afternoon. Our server greeted and seated us. We were situated in a cozy corner booth where we purused the menu while drinking a Turkish lager to the sounds... More
Ordered the kebabs, more food than I could eat. Three of us, all ordered different dishes so got to taste different entrees. Service was excellent. Immediate seating too when some of the other restaurants at Easton were telling us 60-90 minutes! (I don't wait that long if it's free!) The prices were not bad compared to others in the area.... My family and I love middle Eastern food. So, taking a break from shopping, decided to give this place a try. Good kids menu and adult menu. Everyone enjoyed their meals - from falafel to kabobs and plenty of food on everyone's plate. That being said, it was a little pricey.
Wow !!! Well done interiors Beautiful decor .Now coming to the food.Ordered falafel....exterior was well done but interior was a bit uncooked/raw...Had tasted better falafel elsewhere. The mixed grill kebabs and baklava were good.
Cafe Istanbul is one of our favorite places in Columbus. The atmosphere is so relaxed. The decor is beautiful. We are never disappointed with our orders. Their Turkish coffee and baklava is the perfect way to end the day!
This was our second time dining at Cafe Istanbul and we were not disappointed. First the bread and oil that comes to the table will fill you up if you don't watch it. Delicious. We started with the Red Lentil soup followed with the Hummus. For entrees, my wife had the Istanbul salad with chicken. I had the chicken kabob.... More
I enjoyed my meal. Being a Brit, I was happy not to get super quick service/food and be in/out within 20 minutes, it was a more relaxed affair although not too slow. The babaganoush was tasty, as was the herb/tomato/olive oil dip accompanied with Turkish bread which is light and airy. I chose chicken kebabs for my entree, with rice,... More
We were in the area for the weekend and went to Easton. We were looking for a place to eat that was something different and good. We found it! The meats are fantastic and they have a great selection of authentic appetizers and entrees. We will go again when we are back in the area.
We went on a Wednesday night and the place was very busy. The waiter was prompt and helpful. Tried a Turkish wine and it was very good, as was all of our entrees. The bread is crusty, rustic, and plentiful. Not overpriced, considering the area. I'll come back here the next time in Easton.
