Our family enjoyed dinner at Lindey's celebrating my nephew's Law School graduation. We had this celebration in an outdoor room on a beautiful evening. The ambience couldn't have been better! The food couldn't have been better! One of the waitresses was, however, downright rude at times. Although, the other waitress was wonderful! All in all, with the exception of the... More

Those planning an event beware: I called three times to try to speak with the person who seems to be their sole contact for event planning, and each time my number was taken but I never received a call back. There was apparently no one else who could answer my questions or who seemed charged with providing information. Very unhelpful... More

Sue Doody started Lindey's about 20-30 years ago and today she's still very active and present in her restaurant --- and its an institution for locals. In the heart of historic German Village, the bar should be an historic landmark all itself, plus the restaurant decor and historic flavor only adds to the award-winning menu. If you pick one restaurant... More

Lovely neighborhood, fast valet car parkers and a noisy (in a good way), stimulating environment all give a very good first impression and the same prevails for the food, drink and service. Imaginative and large variety of menu selections. Excellent house cocktails and full bar. Friendly and interested servers. Decor is evocative of late 19th early 20th century. You will... More

My friend and I had a lunch last week at Lindey's. As many items as I wanted to try, I ordered a fish sandwich with fries. My friend ordered a chicken salad. Her chicken salad was very good though chicken was a bit too flattened in my view. My sandwich was good. Fries were okay. I wish they were much... More

One of my favorite Columbus restaurants. Great location, delicious food and unique decor. We always have friendly, professional service. The rack of lamb is wonderful!

On the recommendations of two people from Columbus, we ventured over to Lindey's. it is definitely apparent as to why it is very well rated. The ambiance was energetic but not loud. The service was spectacular and the food outstanding! I had the arugula-spinach salad with the spicy walnuts to start followed by the ribeye steak. Both were delicious and... More

My first experience at this restaurant and it was amazing. I traveled to Columbus to spend my birthday with a group of friends. We wanted to get dressed up and eat a fancy meal. Lindey's was recommended, and we couldn't have made a better choice. The service was perfect, the food was absolutely delicious. We all ate waaay too much.... More

Lindey’s Restaurant and Bar is a German Village and Columbus favorite. Our last visit was with a party of 60 Ph.D.s from Ohio State University in January 2012. Let's observe that this party had a GRAND time! Everyone seems to know about the sausage house; however, Lindey’s Restaurant and Bar is a much more formal restaurant featuring a great dinner... More

Nice venue in German Village; valet parking is a plus. Service was very good even on a busy holiday. Food was very good, with a good selection for a traditional American restaurant. Wine list was o.k. Recommended.
