Spent a few hours snorkeling in Akumal and ate lunch here because it was highly rated in a guide book. We arrived and were not greeted by anyone working there. We were just about to leave because we figured everyone was on break. Some did approach us and ask if we wanted menus, we said yes and were seated. I... More

It had been several years since we had visited Akumal and Turtle Bay Bakery and I was looking forward to eating there this trip. The food and service did not disappoint. There were so many choices I could have made but we ordered the summer burrito and the shrimp tacos and my husband and I shared. The burrito was delicious... More

Turtle Bay has an amazing menu that should make it easy for anyone to find something they like. Along with the standards (hamburgers, etc) they offer a large selection of innovative dishes that sound wonderful and taste even better. Because of the menu we wound up eating half our meals there on a recent short vacation, and managed to hit... More

This is a great place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Sit under a palapa roof and enjoy great food and great drinks. While you are at it, do not miss the home made ice cream right next door. With so many restaurants to choose from, it is tough to truly stand out, but Turtle Bay Bakery is a sure... More

We're staying in Akumal for the week and pretty much try every restaurant- either for lunch or dinner. We have 3 teenage daughters- one who is a vegetarian. The menu offers great variety including flatbreads after 2pm. I loved the blackened fish tacos, my husband had a burger that he declared the best in Mexico; daughters had lentil burger, grilled... Awesome food, realistic prices, almost perfect service. 3rd trip to Akumal, Turtle bay has never failed us. Did not do breakfast there, but lunch and dinner more than once. High end entrees neared 30 usd, but in reality were well worth it, lamb chops are never cheap. And as everyone says, good fish is not cheap. All servers were excellent,... More
