We stopped off for lunch here on recommendation and it was wonderful. Great food, friendly staff and a beautiful terrace overlooking the river. We couldn't recommend it more highly. The fish was amazing!

We choose Pilot House for our son's graduation celebration that included his grandparents. They had re-opened that day from remodeling. Everything was fresh and nice with a beautiful view of the river. There were several other large groups celebrating making it a little noisy. The wine selection was good. The steamed oysters and hand breaded calamari were both exceptional. My... More

This restaurant was recommended to us on a recent trip to Wilmington in early April. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunset and the river. Our waiter was helpful and efficient. We both selected a shrimp and grits with collards specialty of the house dish, and it was delicious.

My girl friends took me to Wilmington for the day for my bachelorette party and we found the Pilot House. It had a wide variety of food to appeal to everyone in the group and the prices were great. The staff was very friendly and made the experience a lot of fun. The scenery can't be beat since it's on... More

Great atmosphere, especially if the weather is pleasant and you eat outdoors. Food is always good, prices as expected for a waterfront seafood house. Service has always been fairly quick and definitely friendly. As with most downtown Wilmington restaurants parking can sometimes be difficult. If you're looking for a nice relaxing evening in downtown Wilmington give the Pilot House a... More

The Pilot House was recommended by our B and B and within an easy walk of the Inn. We had a table right on the river at sunset and it was most romantic. All the seafood dishes we tried were excellent, but our favorite was the soup--Ham and Collard, believe it or not! Sounds old south, and it was, plus... More

Ate dinner on a Saturday night in late December with 10 other diners. I must start by saying our server Ashley was quite possibly the best waitress we had every had anywhere! She was knowledgeable, personable, and very very accommodating. The food was fresh. The portions were just right. And we loved having a kids menu. The collard and ham... More

My wife and I stopped in for lunch this past Saturday. It was a great day to take advantage of the riverside dining offered here. Our server Phoebe was excellent! She was attentive as needed and left us alone to enjoy our drinks as we were not in a rush. We both chose the Flounder sandwich and were pleased with... More

Last night we went to the Pilot House for their Monday-Friday appetizer special. From 4 til 6 at the bar they offer most appetizers on their menu for $5. What a great deal for fabulous food! We had the shrimp and grits, crab dip, baked brie with figs and almonds and the calamari. It was all delicious. What we love... More

I usually don't write reviews but thought enough this time to share. I love the Pilot House food always, all the time except on yesterday - Thanksgiving Day. The only thing that tasted pretty good were the soups and pies. I was so disappointed with the entree and side dishes - horrible. I have experienced the Blockade Runner's Thanksgiving feast... More
